My children are eager to try the island life, but of course leaving friends and the comfort of their small charter school setting is a bit intimidating. I thought it would be great for them to correspond with children their own ages before we move. If anyone has a son aged 9-10, 4th grader and a daughter aged 10-11, 5th grader that would be interested in being a pen pal With my children, please email me at [email protected]

Our PMV is scheduled for June 29th-July 3rd while the kids are at camp and we plan to move before the next school session begins in August or so....

We have yet to decide for sure which island, but I'm leaning towards STX....

Thanks!
Tamara

If you don't get a response, you might check the site below. Don't know if it's still going on but wouldn't hurt to see.

Thanks, Trade! I'll be sure to check it out.

Also, I've enjoyed reading your posts while "lurking" around here the last week or so!

Well, I have successfully found a pen-pal for my daughter-another child moving there this summer, too. It has been great! Both girls are so excited about knowing someone when they get there.

Now, I still need to find a boy for my son aged 9 to get in touch with. If you have a son already there, or moving there soon, please post a message so they can email and IM each other.

Thanks!

Tamara

That's great news. Nice for kids to already have a pal when they get here.

Hello Tamara. My name is Tracy and we will be moving to STX around the beginning of May. I have a son who is in the fourth grade (10yrs) and a daughter in the fifth grade (11almost 12). They are very excited and are looking for some pen pals and potential neighbors. My email is [email protected] if you would like to set something up for the kids. My sons name is Heath and my daughters name is Hailey. I look forward to hearing from you.
