Hi all, I am wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a pest control company on STX. I just discovered that I have termites between the ceiling and roof of my house. It's a masonry house, but the ceiling and roof are wood. I am a bit dismayed by the idea that it costs thousands of dollars to spray/guard against these pests. I don't see how the companies can justify charging such huge sums, but I have to take action immediately regardless. I've only heard bad things about pest control companies on island, does anyone have anything positive to say about any of them? Please . . .

We've used Terminex for years and have never had a problem with them. Talk to Jose.

I second Terminix. We use them at home and at work.

We used Olivers Exterminating to get rid of subterranean termites around 2 wood framed outside storage room doors plus they treated the entire perimeter of the house. We were pleased with their work. They also are used exclusively by Gentle Winds Condo Assoc on a monthly basis to treat all 66 units for pests. GWCA has had many years of very satisfactory experience using them.

Terminex will treat any affected areas as well as the entire outdoor perimeter. They guarantee their work so if you see any of those little buggers before your the next treatment is due they will come back and re-treat at no charge. (tu)
