Any overall pet care (grooming, short/long term boarding, veterinary services) recommendations for both STT and STJ? Am somewhat spoiled here in the States using Pet Smart where all these services are under one roof...for my stubborn but lovable 12 1/2 year old pug? Just not sure where to start so personal successes would be much appreciated.

On St John, the only game on island is Canines Cats & Critters - they have a couple of vets and boarding services. Not sure if they currently offer grooming, but they can recommend people who do it. CC&C has an office on STT also, but I don't know whether they offer boarding over there.

Canine, Cats and Critters STT Kennel Club and Clinic has boarding and grooming located at Dr. Williamson's old veterinarian service out by Antilles School but their East End/STT office doesn't provide grooming or boarding.
They offer Doggy Daycare at the kennel club.

I use Dr. Reynolds who bought Dr. Moore's practice. They board and groom, have 2 locations, one in Red Hook and the other along Weymouth Rhymer highway on STT. Veterinary Centers of the VI 775-6623.

Thanks much fdr and Alana33 for the detailed info, so appreciated, wasn't sure where to start...and I can pretty much groom her myself except for nail clipping which she's never let me do, this is great news about the boarding and vet as I want to keep her healthy and I'm sure there will be just a few times a year when I travel for up to a couple of weeks.

You might look into getting a reliable pet sitter instead of boarding.
If you're on STT, I can help. If you're on STJ, maybe vet can provide name of reliable, responsible person. A lot of the services I've seen for this locally are expensive. My guy is good, lives at house and with multiple dogs, less expensive than boarding.

Thx again Alana33, may very well take you up on that, just depends on available housing once I arrive as to whether I'll be living in STT or STJ
