Have any of you hired a plumber recently? If so what hourly rate did they charge? You don't need to give names unless you want to, but I would like to know the going hourly rate. thanks!

Most of the plumbers I work with are hard bid not hourly.   I do know a couple plumbing repair people (not licensed) that charge $80-100 an hour.   Time plus material costs.

$100 per hour plus materials is pretty standard from what I've seen recently.

I've never met a poor plumber.

The $80-$120 an hour plus materials are non licensed/insured.   All of the licensed and insured people I work with do hard bids based on the scope of work.   With change orders for any deviations of the original bid.  Which there are usually are plenty of depending on the size of the job.  And as usually, everything on STJ tends to be more expensive than the other islands.
