Hello, Are there any long term (cheaper) car rentals on STT as opposed to the super expensive ones like Budget and Avis at the airport? I plan on doing my PMV for a couple of months maybe three. Thanks:-)

Hi GLantern,

Have a look at this thread: https://vimovingcenter.com/talk/read.php?4,178636 It may have the answers you're looking for.

Thanks kass. I'm not sure if I want to go through the hassle of buying/selling for just a three month visit. Those rental options are just a waste of money. Maybe I can deal with the safari taxis until I know if I'm staying or not.:-)

Yeah, I don't know if I'd do it for just a three month visit either. Although if you do decide to stay, you will have a car already.

I have had some friendly interaction with http://www.judiofcroix.com/ but I have no idea if they do longer-term rentals.

We do a mini-lease (monthly rental) through Hertz each year. If you're a AAA member you get a 10% discount.

The price is the best we could find that allows more than one driver at no extra charge (if you're a AAA member).

If you're alone (one driver) than Budget had a $489/month rate for an SUV plus taxes and fees.

Good luck.

F.I.

Hi, Thanks for the heads up. Do they have rentals on STT? I'm leaning towards STT but nothing's carved in stone. I may try STX.
So many islands, so little time.:-)
