Have some very close friends who have a couple of weeks a year at the Carambola Beach Resort. They have been long time vacationers to STT, STJ and STX and ended up spending most of their vacation time on STX.
They have received very little info regarding the GERS involvement. Furthermore, there has been over $350K which has been collected in assessments over the past few years- and no work performed. These assessments were NOT common area assessments, but individual timeshare unit assessments- never performed. The rest of the resort was upgraded and repaired last year, but not the timeshare units.
Now, the timeshare office at Carambola won't even return phone calls. The Renaissance Group stated that they didn't even know that there is a Timeshare Unit there!
Now my friends (on island close friends) tell me that Renaissance is pulling out of Carambola. Anyone who has any info regarding the Carambola Timeshares- this would be highly beneficial.... Thanks

for what it's worth,i'm not joking,just telling you what i heard.someone who works at the spa, quite seriously, told me their manager told them that donald trump was taking over the property,in expansion of his fla properties.
