Just a couple of questions.

Here in CHS, I need to PW 1x/yr to control the mold growing on the house and decks. I use a little simple green so that I don't damage my plants. Also waiting for a raining overcast day when the mold is more alive and comes off easily.

We will be looking N and NW on STX for houses this month. How often is PW treatment on isle?

Due to water issues, is this a practical treatment or is something else used?

Should I get rid of my PW before relocating?

Bring your power washer for sure.

Good for decks, patios, drives just like anywhere else.

Depends on location: my home in Dorothea generally needs 2x per year.
Decks, railings, deck ceilings, outdoor steps, furniture, lower driveway parking area.
Usually pw roof and gutters once a year.

Look into a system called MiracleMist from encore coatings in the US. They make a cleaner that instantly removes mold and mildew discoloration on contact. Once the surface is clean, you can use the long-term protectant to keep the mold and mildew from coming back.

I used this product in 2001 on a white garage ceiling that was having to be bleached annually to get rid of a HUGE mold problem. I applied the protectant to it and to this day (1/1/18), the mold has not returned. In fact, it looks like it was just cleaned.

Not sure how you'd get this product to the islands but it is sold online. Good luck!
