Propane tank placement...

Good evening...

Does anyone know the local VI code, regarding placement of propane tanks near a residence?

The general rule-of-thumb (Stateside) seems to be a minimum 10-foot distance, for tanks exceeding 100 gallons.

I appreciate anyone's insight on this matter. Many thanks.

I would call whoever supplies gas on whichever island you're on and ask them. I'm guessing it may depend on size. I've always used the standard "residential" tanks and they've always been placed right up against the building and as close to the appliance as possible. On St Thomas, the suppliers are St Thomas Gas and Antilles Gas.

My tank placement is the same as OldTart...four residential tanks right up next to the house.
