Google & other maps just aren't clear enough. I am quite interested in a place at 5000 South Grapetree Bay. Has someone rented there? Taken a swim there? Biked to Christainsted from there?

Grapetree is on the extreme east end of the island. It is pretty far from most things. Bicycling to C'sted would be a major challenge.

Very nice area. Plenty of taxi service because of Divi. Agree that cycling to C'sted would be difficult. Bus service goes as far as Union/ Mt. Washington. Many places to swim- Cramers Park especially nice.

Thanks buck,
Now, Union/ Mount Washington is another place to look for on the vague googlemap.

Bus service is not very dependable. Bottom line....you need a car if you want to live up in East End.

I lived in Grapetree and loved it, but I was working out that way. As soon as I started working in Csted, I had to move. It's just too far out. Really nice, safe and quiet.

Which mount Washington, as I believe there are two. I know there is one on the West end, North of F-sted.

The Union and Mt. Washington area is in the east end, south shore area. One of the few communities with real street signs.

Google Maps on St. Croix is still in the "development" stages and not very accurate in my opinion.
