Okay.. I would say that I am a romantic and dream of coming down there and maybe meeting like minded singles who love the tropics, sailing ect and maybe one day finding the right person ect...

Are there nice guys down there? Can you meet people? What is the deal?

thanks.

ellen

I think I heard that "the odds are 6 men to every 1 woman, but the men are odd". I'm sure there are nice guys here, you just may have to play the "odds". LOL

Hi,

It seems like there are a lot of couples moving.. are there any other single people moving?

I did hear from one other.

for what it's worth, im a single girl and I am moving to STT in march. you're not all alone haha.

do you ever go on myspace.com? its not a dating service, its like for networking with friends, bands, etc in your area. put virgin islands (US) as the country, there are a lot of people listed.

there's gotta be some single people...roll with the punches, maybe you will fall in love with some millionaire as he docks his yacht for the night on the way to brazil or something? who knows... 😉

That's it Pam! LOL. I think there was more to it as well... something about the men not 'going out' with the girls, just taking their turn...? Have you heard that part?

In St. Thomas, you never lose your girlfriend...you just lose your turn.

That is pretty funny.. you guys are a crack up!

I guess it would be a nice change from Boston where there are a lot more women than men!

I'm a single guy on STX, but it does seem like more couples move here than single people.

It's not too bad. I meet a lot of new people since I work at the airport, and people on the island are very friendly and easy to talk to. Once you become a regular at places you tend to meet a lot of people.

Hey Sailorgrl, you have your own boat or just chasing a dream?

To answer your question best it would help to know your age, if you're 20's to 30's then you can find plenty of single men on the island. Like everyone else said its just a matter of weeding out the odd ones...
