Just a quick question I like to read the trade winds PDF paper and I was curious if all the police calls get posted in the paper, I ask mainly cause people say the crime rate is high in the usvi ( I know in st j it's a lot less) but readings the reported calls it doesn't seem that bad. I live in miami and see some as the calls as just ordinary issues and wonder if they purposely omit the real negative crimes. Any feed back would be appreciated 🙂

That's the entire police log, and maybe some stuff doesn't make it in. I don't know. Every time I've heard about an incident, it's been listed there. The small-town types of calls occasionally make for an interesting read!

St John has much, much less crime than STX or STT, and it's also seasonal -- the police log is often twice as long in January when the island is full of tourists as it is right now. But our crime is nothing like Miami.

STJ has its share of crime.
With 4th of July celebration approaching, people should be more vigilant, lock up tight and secure your valuables as not everyone will be visiting just for the kallaloo, johnny cakes, parade and fireworks!
