Recommend a Salon

Can anyone recommend a good salon. My husband needs a real haircut (I can't possibly hack at it anymore and still allow him to go out in public!) I would love to find someone for a cut and color. A massage/chiropractor would be of great help as well. All things we are accustomed to in the states and not quite ready to go without. Thanks!

If I am not mistaken, you are on St Thomas...Sharon at Studio Hair next door to En Kai is THE colorist! Oh, yeah, she also is great at haircuts for both men and women.;) For massage- Rashel at Body Garden.

(I think vasecs is giving you a St Croix recommendation.)

Yes, Thank you East Ender for remembering! I am on STT and forgot to add that in the beginning.

Thanks for the great recommendations! I will check them out!

I second Liz at Phoenix Visions, Crown Bay Marina, or Heather (she's been doing my hair for 4 years and she is GREAT!), or Aisha! Rashel is my massage therapist, however, she is only doing house calls now as she just closed the Body Garden's doors at the end of December. You can still reach her through the Body Garden's Facebook page or PM me for her cell number. I am also a massage therapist and work at Phoenix Visions and would be glad to work on you as well; I am there Monday/Wednesday/Friday/ half day Saturday (my name is Linda, by the way:-) ). Phoenix Visions number is 774-1944 or my cell is 244-1614...

Hi everyone, I'd like to ask the same question for STX - I have naturally curly long hair colored with two treatments, and while it's quite healthy it can burn fairly easily. I need someone who can effectively cut long hair without over-layering it, in addition to the color.

Any recommendations sincerely appreciated - thank you all! 🙂

JulieKay,

I wholeheartedly recommend Megan Black at Frongillo Salon in Gallows Bay on STX. She does my hair and does a great job! I have long (albeit straighter) hair that is colored and highlighted. You can reach Megan at the salon at (340) 719-7575.

pilatesgal: I am sorry to hear that Rashel closed Body Garden. 🙁 It was a pleasant oasis in the country.

East Ender, I was so upset that she closed the Body Garden, too. I LOVED just walking into the space...made me calm! I also had the pleasure of working there on occasion for Rashel when she needed an extra therapist. It just became too much of an expense so she is back to outcalls (just got her jeep up and running after being out of commission as well!). It did ease my pain a little that she was relieved to give it up...just want what's best for her!

I will go ahead and add another recommendation for Liz at Phoenix.

She's a great lady and does a good job with hair. I go to her every time.

I am a guy and I go to Just Cuts at the Buccaneer Mall by Havensight.

I have Maxine cut my hair, and she does a great job. $26.00 for a mens cut.

I just have to give a big thank you to Kathy at Just Cuts. I don't know why I put off getting a hair cut for so long! Anyway, she does an amazing job. I paid $28, didn't have to wait at all, went at 11 o'clock this morning. I loved it so much, I had to stop and buy a couple of dresses (tee hee!)

For men's haircuts Maxine or Carol Ann at Just Cuts next door to Hooters has always done the job and usually I have no trouble getting an appointment on short notice. They only take cash, though.
