Hey There, Can anyone help or point me in the direction of seeking employment down on the Island. I have experience as a Bank Teller, Customer Service, Administrative Assistant, and Billing. I want to start the process now instead of waiting till I get down there. Any help will be greatly appreciated..

I understand your desire to go ahead and find something, however, you may find that it won't be so easy to do things long distance as such.

Most employers won't even talk to you until you arrive. This is just a harsh reality to hiring here. They want to know that you are commited to the possiblity of the job. Your actual presence is a good indicator of that commitment.

I agree. Whenever someone calls me about a position, I tell them to come in and see us when they get on island. I'll usually spend some time on the phone aswering their questions too. I looked in the paper yesterday. Seems like a lot of jobs. I also watch job TV (I get bored with the broken leg). I've seen every thing: admin asst. , sales, hospitality, computer stuff, accountants, etc. If you aren't looking to make a fortune there isn't any reason why you can't find a job down here. Good Luck.
