has anyone heard anything??1/ about i hr ago my husband was driving eastbound on the queen mary highway, and four cop cars were in speeding after a white car.2/ all entrances to home depot were blocked off 3/ the owner of a gas station in sunny isle told him he had heard home depot was robbed 4/ coming home on south shore road an ambulance also sped by........now for what some may perceive as a dumb question, but it has been bothering me since the police chased the killers of the security guard at club 54..don't police have the right to shoot at the vehicle[tires etc.] when after armed robbers or killers???? have i been watching to many tv police chases? . if so, this will be the 2nd armed robbery in the middle of the day{downtown jewelry store at 11:30} a few weeks prior. owners were told there are no police staffing downtown on mon. and tue. because there isn't enough man power???????????????

When a bomb threat is "good news", we may be in trouble.

i understand your perspective....but 1/ just said to my husband about 15 min. ago "watch a poster respond..."a bomb threat is good news" no it is not,, but no weapons, death etc occurred 2/ not to undo the importance of any threat in this day and age, especially post 9/11 but AS WRONG AS THEY ARE[and 1 could be the real one} they are a stupid societal thing that dumb asses do. i taught in a high school in a rather well to do town. we had bomb scares at least 3/4 times a year...someone wan't to disrupt the schoolday, opponents from an impending big sports event etc. not condoning, but in this messed up world, i apologize. its in my experience that no real violence took place {not that it couldn't} ps sorry about my runon sentences, but just needed to express my view quickly.

When i was in college there was a bomb threat almost monthly, usually occurred on a test day.....

Since there seems to be little risk of getting caught or if caught punished, a robbery at the Home Depot is a matter of when not if.

Individuals from the same crew who robbed the Kmart a while back are likely working in various departments at Home Depot casing the place to determine just the right time for a robbery.

Just sayin...
