I don't write on this blog but I feel compelled to do so in regards to the slanderous comments that are being posted here.

*sigh*

"Slander" is spoken; "libel" is written. If you don't know the difference, just say "defamation".

Words MEAN things.

That is all.

I have a visitor on island, so I'll take her there tomorrow after the tide pools for some fish tacos and spicey fruit margs.

Nearly 2500 views so far... If they could turn back the clock, I'm thinking they woulda just gave the dude a bowl of ice cream, tantrum or not, rather than have this thread go on like it has... What egg in their face over basically nothing... shame on all counts.

Not necessarily. You know what they say about publicity whether good or bad ... they could end up with more customers!

Yeah so true, the Senators there screw all of you people year after year and then you just re-elect them so this is kinda the same thing.
Just minus the chicken legs and t-shirts.

Iceman, it's very difficult to understand all the facets of USVI political decisions unless you live in the islands. I'm sure there are aspects of your local politics that frustrate you.

Yes Linda, 5 yrs on STX was long enough to get the full picture thanks.
Yes politics are frustrating but what goes on there on the USVI is truly no comparison to real world. No where in the usa would let that much go on and on and on and on and on and just accept it year after year. Yes all Govt states and federal piss away money everyday. But it just really is out of control there, too big for what really is needed. Way too big.

Okay, so here we go again! How did politics get involved with the service at Rowdy Joe's?

That's an easy question to answer. Because a poster who doesn't live here all of a sudden goes on a ranting spree and jumps on every meager opportunity to advise all USVI residents how stupid we all are and how corrupt our government is. He wanders off eventually. It can't be much fun arguing with a bunch of ignoramuses! 😀

While I'm probably more of an agnostic, my sweetie seems to think the blue cheese cheesecake salad at Rowdy Joes is pretty close to a religious experience. How's that for bringing things back on topic? 😎

Good afternoon, I will start this off by saying that I am an employee at Rowdy Joes. I know that many of you will say that I have no right to post on this topic, but I feel that this has gotten out of hand. Everyone is definately entitled to thier own opinions, and both the good an bad should be taken into consideration. For those of you who have posted positive reviews about Rowdys...I sincerely thank you. For those who have had a bad experience...I am truly sorry and hope that at some point you will give us a second chance. For those of you who have never been...I hope you look at the good and the bad reviews and stop by to form your own oppinion. Nugblazer, thank you for the positive comments about the staff and the food. However, you are the reason I felt the need to post on this thread. You obviously have one disgruntled employee for a friend, and are putting words into the mouths of the rest of the employees. I can tell you that the majority of the employees find it appalling that you actually posted an oppinion for US on the internet that is absolutely NOT true. Scott and Cheri are great people, and to have someone claiming to speak for the employees is unfair. Did you ever stop to think that the reason that the food and the staff is so great is because the owners take their business so seriously? Running a restaurant in St Croix is not an easy task to say the least, and if you had ever tried it you would understand the stress that comes along with it. (I have a feeling you wouldnt be walking around with a big smile on your face 24/7) Scott and Cheri have put their heart and soul into running a successful and professional business on an island where there is always something pushing you back. They are not only running a great restaurant, they have made an awesome work environment for their employees. I have been in the service industry on St Croix for a long time, and I love working at Rowdy Joes.

I hear that Rowdy Joe's is resurrecting one of it's all time favorites for this sunday. A Grilled Cheesus Sandwich. And when they serve the food, the head chef will say a few magic words and turn your water into wine! Mazal tov!

What can you expect with Rowdy in the name, satin table cloths, dainty napkins and responses from the staff like Thank you and you are welcome? hahahahahaha. I'm assuming the name Rowdy Joe's would say it all.
