Is there any need for native Russian speakers in USVI? I've been asked by my friends. They can translate, interpret, or teach.

I kind of doubt it. Certainly not in my circle of business contacts, etc. The best place to ask might be UVI. I think it might be an occasional convenience, but not a regular necessity.

I heard recently that Hovensa (and supposedly the local brothel - I didn't know we had one) gets Russian crews in on the freighters from time-to-time but have no clue if they need language services at their port.

The hospital could use the occasional Russian translator as we see Russians, Ukranians and others from the oil tankers sometimes and their English is often poor but most of them do speak Russian. PM me if you or they come down.
