Hi there,

Thanks so much for the info that helped us navigate around STT. We noticed that alot of beaches don't allow dogs, is this the majority in STT? We want to be able to take our dog to the beach with us most of the time when we move over there. We are in STX now and are observing tne differences. We haven't been here long, but Chistainsed (sp) was a trip! Before dusk, we were kinda told to get out of there by other tourists-any comments about nice places to go over here would be great.

dogs owners are encouraged to keep the pooch leashed for obvious safety reasons, and lets face it not all dog owners pick up after the mutt. with that being said, there are some beaches that dogs are welcome such as Neltjberg, which you will most definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle as well as Bordeaux and Hull. We love our dogs swimming along side us as we snorkel, but alot of people have ruined it for the responsible owners....and well behaved dogs.

I can understand that. In CA we are strictly fined for not picking up after our dogs-people also will call others on it if they witness a violation. It is the law in CA, but I can see how others would loosely interpret their responsibilities towards their pets.
