-until next Tuesday? Saw this on another site. Is this connected to the sale of the restaurant? Is Jesse still behind the bar? Salud has been our favorite dining spot for years. We'll be back in a few months and I don't want to be shocked when I get there.

I'm assuming it's their mid summer doldrum vacation.
I'm sure they'll be open when you return and Jesse will still have those slamming cocktails (tu)

The last time I checked, their MLS listing is showing as "pending," which I believe means they have a contract. I had heard it's someone on the current staff who was interested.

Jesse was chosen to apprentice at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans this week. Don't worry, they will reopen next Tuesday.

I hope the new owner cleans the mold out of the air conditioning system--not that I will ever set foot in that place again.

My friend was told they are closed for good due to WAPA bills.
Maybe bad rumor???

Hello All,
Jesse here. Rest assured we ARE NOT PERMINANTLY CLOSED OR SOLD. We closed for a week so I could apprentice at the largest spirit & cocktail conference in the world, Tales of the Cocktail in NOLA. This place can almost drink like us STX'rs. Almost.
While outrageous WAPA issues (LEAC, brownouts killing equipment, unreliability, etc), Back to back Gross Receipts Tax increases, Shipping cost increases, and the myriad of other economic issues that affect us all in th VI have been stressful, we are still going strong and looking forward to reopening on Tuesday the 26th.
I'm bringing back some cool new ideas for our bar program, so stop on by to check it out.
Oh, and yes Bassman, the Mussels are still on the menu.
