I've been on Innovative Cable for years, but after purchasing a new TV I was informed that Innovative does not have HD Channels and was told to go Satellite. Anyone have any insight in the best provider? Any issues with your Sat TV?

The only way to get HD in the USVI is Dish Network.
It works great.
Alan installed my dish.

Ditto to the other posts above...Dish network is the only way to go. Much cheaper and easier now as you can get service with HD on 1 30" Dish! You will also be able to get DVR service, and other stateside amenities like "Movies on Demand" for PPV etc.

Call Alan at Paradise Satellite for great LOCAL service. (tu)(tu)

If you call the main number for Dish you'll be referred to a company in Puerto Rico that will schedule you a month or more out. And then maybe not even show. (td)(td)(td)

Can you get network programming with the Dish network on STX? I housesat for a couple last year who had it, but couldn't watch the Superbowl -- of all things -- because the satellite system covered only cable channels, not basic networks like NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX.

Networks are available from a 3rd party for $3.49 per month per channel. They can require a waiver but people that want them, get them.
Feeds are from
Chicago, and LA in Hi Definition
NY and San Fran in SD

local networks actually put in filler infomercials in place of the show that is showing in the big markets.

Got this call the other day "They took my favorite show off of Innovative! Ellen!!" "In place of it is a Steam Shark infomercial today!"

So if you're a football fan and don't want to settle with the spanish DirecTV to get The NFL Ticket for hundreds of $$$$ Get Dish and order Fox and CBS from all the markets.

Edited to add: Currently over 50 Hi Def channels and climbing on Dishnetwork.

If you currently have Dish, ...register online at www.dish.com then click on my account, refer a friend.
If your friend supplies us with the Club Dish number when they call us they will get $50 off the first bill. You will get Ten $5 credits and 5 PPV coupons.
They currently say you can do 2 per month. That could add up.

Contact us before signing up at MyDistantNetworks.com Certain VI zip codes require fewer waivers.
