Hello Bob,

I don't recall it beginning the same day each year but I remember it starting between the middle of August and the first week of September and through until the middle of May.

I am a teacher in Michigan looking to relocate to St. Thomas. How is the public school system?

Hello SisterGirl,

Look up the public and private schools in both the employment and schools section of this web site. If you click on Home at the very top of this page you will have the navigation for the site and can go to the two sections I mentioned. The schools section has links to dept. of educaiton and to web sites for the schools if they have one so you can get some information that way. What type of information about the schools were you interested in?

Hello Islander,

I was wondering how is the St. thomas school system-in termoil, stable, rebuilding? Are the children mostly native (Black) or is their a racial mix? Are the schools danderous or safe? Are they modern or third world? How would a mainland teacher be treated?

Thank you for any information you can provide,

SisterGirl
