I thought I'd start a thread on sea glass, because it seems to be a popular topic.

Found this page on pinterest. Beautiful stuff!

Um, what is the "main beach by enfield green?" Do you know the name? Where it is?

Will do for WHAT? If the beach doesn't frequently have sea glass, please post in another thread.

Thanks!

When posting, please try to remember to name the island you are referring to. Thanks!

Enfield Green is on Stx.

Speedy is saying that any beach by a bar should have some seaglass lol. I found lots by the Fsted pier. The beach on the right if you're looking out to the ocean. I'm sure there's a name I just can't remember.

Ha, ha! Not so on STT. Visitors are complaining/asking because there isn't seaglass or shells on most recommended beaches. I'll have to pay more attention when I'm next on STX.

I was more focused on the birds on STX, because I seldom get a chance to photograph them on STT for some reason.

More like broken glass that will cut your foot is by some beach bars. I have had that unfortunate experience.
Like I said before, I usually find broken glass from beer bottles, not sea glass 🙁

Sorry, I know better , Enfield Green is a gated community on the west end of STX. Not sure why but that beach has awesome sea glass, and a lot of it. I also have good luck at Columbus landing 🙂

RE Birds: What is it with the birds in the VI?? I am like a fricking animal whisperer and ALWAYS get great shots and close up of wildlife but the birds on STX are like in covert ops or something! I could hear them everywhere and caught glimpses of them but trying to see what it was and snap a pic was impossible. My grandmother is one of those BIGTIME birders, she has seen thousands of species and traveled all over the world to do so. I always try to get pics of what I see and all I got on my PMV was a couple bananaquit, black anis (IDK who named these, its horrible lol.), doves and a heron. Dang VI birds lol and I REALLY wanted to get some shots of the hummingbirds! They are amazing. One of mine from Honduras- too bad I wasn't using a great camera back then.

Sorry back to sea glass lol. I am going to start making some jewelry with the stuff I got on my PMV.

Because it is down current from the dump would be my guess.
