I have rental guests heading over to STJ for the day and asking for recommendation for seafood restaurant. Assume lunchtime as they'll have to make sure they get back to Crown Bay to catch Water Island ferry home. Anyone have any recommendations for good seafood restaurant on STJ for lunch?

The best food I think I've had in the VI was actually at Driftwood David's, in Cruz Bay. Super easy to get to and I haven't had ONE thing on their menu that isn't mind blowing. The ribs are sooo good... and they have great fresh fish! I had a local snapper sandwich that was DELISH! The chefs are awesome, we always stay and chat them up. Its not cheap at all but IMO worth it. Our bill for the two us us our first time was over $100 but we left not talking about the $$ and talking about how good the food was! We did tip our server $20 but he was awesome too! We take all our out of town guests there when we want a slam dunk nice dinner.

DONT go to the bar across from the salon up top in MJ. Sorry I forget the name. For my birthday I ordered a mahi sandwich and they brought me a thin and tiny fishy smelling frozen talipia filet for $16. I was livid, and asked why it wasnt mahi and they insisted it was. Im not an idiot, I KNOW the difference lol. I tell everyone not to go there because they not only were charging mahi prices for talipia but they were super rude about it when i insisted that I wanted something else. At least they took the fish off my bill I guess. Sorry end rant.

Lol. I haven't heard back from them and I try not to bug my guests while they are on WI. Unless they reach out to me, my house is their house.. (Smile) besides, I am stuck at JFK waiting now 4 more hours to go to catch flight to NL. I promise to inquire how lunch went once my rental guests and I return home. Thank you so much for the tip! I know I am going to try the restaurant when I get back on Island in October.

I answered on the other forum - as a resident of STJ and working at an" information kiosk" I would recommend Lime Inn for fresh fish for lunch (or dinner)

I love lunch at Lime Inn when I am on STJ.
Their food is always excellent.
Their hot fudge sundaes are to die for.
I need a fix!:D

You could try The Fish Trap or Ocean 362, heard they have really good seafood and are convenient for a quick lunch.
