Any truth to the rumors that STT has taken steps to get rid of it?

Red Hook was the most inundated on STT but there may have been others. I heard that both Fish Bay and Chocolate Hole in STJ had lots of seaweed as well. Don't know if they began clean up in Red Hook. Maybe someone from East End can chime in.

I was at both Coki and Sapphire in past week. Very little. Last time I saw it of any large amounts was at Vessup in May.

I imagine the cleaning of those beaches was all volunteer, right?

So what are you and DPNR, F&W, EPA doing for your STX beaches that are affected?

Nothing at all.

They were going to wait until the results of the STT survey to decide on the next step. The plan, as usual, is to wait, do nothing, and hope the problem will go away on its' own.

Which it will, eventually.
