in the midst of the news of hovensa's closing, sen russell calls the talk show on 93.5 this am. inviting all to a reception at the NEW st. john government building. he made no mention of the grave news at all, and almost sounded like he wasn't even aware of it when the talk show host mentioned that "i think st. croix has more important things on their plate this morning". personally i found it apalling. he continues to show lack of concern for the well being of the people of the territory and very misguided priorities. his lack of leadership and continued criticism of others without ever providing any SOLID solutions to any of our problems continues to go on and on and on.........!lets never forget his proposal to use gov't funds to pay everyone's leac a few years ago just prior to an election.

Sen. Ronald Russell said he saw a “ray of hope” in that this catastrophe will bring the community together. “We need a collective effort,” Russell said.

Russell thinks Hovensa closing will bring people together? For What? A riot in the streets !!! I didn't see where he offered to lead the collective effort. But he had to say something - right?
