Share shipping costs of a container to the VI!

I am arranging for a 20' container to be shipped to St Thomas (things can be taken on the car barge to St John also). If anyone needs to ship things down this will be a great, cheap way to do it. I am shipping a 10' couch, queen bed, 46" tv and some boxes. So there is plenty of room in the container for other things, even motorcycles or a car! Building materials, commercial items for a retail store, personal stuff, furniture, etc. Of course we can't ship hazardous materials or pets for example.

I have several estimates already and am doing an exhaustive search to get the best rate for us. It will be much cheaper than using Tropical or a private moving company. There are some logistics to work out, i.e. we need to consolidate and pack our stuff at a freight consolidator, I'm getting estimates for that too.

Benefit by sharing costs with others and get the things you want to the islands! Please email me with the dimensions of what you want to ship and your location. I will email estimates as I get them.

I own an established company on St John. Sail Safaris sailing and snorkeling tours

This isn't a scam. It is also not a commercial enterprise, just looking for folks to help split costs.

Hi,
Please feel free to PM me to discuss.
Can you please confirm from what port the container will originate, this could be very helpful
Thanks!

This shipment will probably ship from Florida. I am looking at early to late November, but could be flexible. You will have to get your goods to port. Uship.com is one, inexpensvie option for this or Uhaul?

All shipments come from Miami/Fort Lauderdale. You can ship anything by land to one of the carriers. They will store it for you and then ship it on the date requested. Call Tropical or any of the carriers and they will give you a list of land carriers.
