Does anyone have any info on how to ship a dog to the states without a ticketed passenger? We are finding that the airline cargo ship options are not available from St. Croix and my son needs to ship his dog back home. Thanks.

You might ask if anyone is going to the same destination anytime soon. Last year I happened to be going to Oregon, and a poster on here wanted a dog taken to Oregon, so I took her. It worked out great. I did it for free, but depending on what the airline will charge to ship the dog, if you find they will, it mght pay to just fly back with the dog or buy someone else a ticket, if you don't want to do it yourself.

One option to consider is having your son fly the dog on Cape Air over to STT and then having Delta ship the dog by itself north from STT. As of about 7 months ago Cape Air only charges $10 extra for the dog when it is flying with a ticketed passenger.
