Blessed Goodnight Wonderful People,

Does anyone have info. on how I should label my ((2) my barrels that I'll be shipping, won't have my physical address until I arrive???

whom are you shipping barrels with from where and cost i need to ship a couple too.

For USPS, you can send it:

YOUR NAME
GENERAL DELIVERY
CHRISTIANSTED VI 00820
(or to whichever city, state, zip pertains to your destination)

And they will hold it for up to 30 days for you to pick up.

You might want to call the intended Post Office to confirm, and to get their location.

shipping rum ? just did not know what would go into a barrel. (besides jimmy hoffa) oh i am so bad!!! forgive me.

I too wondered why use barrels? We used large plastic tubs, we filled them up, put in a contents list and then sealed the top with strapping tape. We shipped via VI Cargo and it was a good experience.

Aren't barrels a little too big/heavy to send via USPS? If so, then you would need to use a shipping company, that would hold them for you, for a reasonable length of time (like VI Cargo). If the shipping company needs a physical address, it's not to deliver the barrels, is it? I think it's just to find you if you never pick them up?? So, you should be able to use your first, temporary, address. Just guessing here, but makes sense to me.

I'm moving to the Island because I love Caribbean living, but I don't kno a soul, yet.....thanks , I believe I worked it out through everyones responses
