Are there any good shoe stores that are nicer than Kmart/payless and not as pricey as coach?

I'm looking for heels for an event.... they have to look good and be comfortable.

And if Payless is the best option, which store has the best selection?

There are some good shoe stores on St Thomas. In town there's Clover's Shoe-tique in the Professional Building. He sells Rockport, Clarke, Naturalizer, etc at fair prices. I bought a pair on sale, and they were more expensive online.

There's also Essentric Shoe Boutique on The Greenhouse street. Lots of name brand dress shoes. Most popular shoe store on island, I think. The Shoe Tree, off the Waterfront behind Bumpa's also has good shoes.

Barefoot Buddha Boutique has nice flip flop sandals.

I would order from zappos.com if you are a week or more out - free delivery AND returns and their selection is HUGE 🙂

I did - they were too small,
I'm considering ordering more, but it would be easier to find a store where I can try some on.

I haven't worn heels and/or closed toed shoes in probably a year +/- and the event is in New England.... I'm thinking boots are appropriate at this point.

Zappos is so expensive. I can usually find the shoes cheaper even with shipping. Nothing beats trying before you buy.

Glad to hear you found some shoes!

I bet Crazy Cow Street isn't on the map, either. That's the other name for Raadets Gade.
