Does anyone have details on the shooting at Iggies a few weeks ago? I heard the manager was shot in the parking lot after closing one night. From what I've been told he survived.

This is a common MO on STT: Ambush the manager. Also intersting that the cited article states Bolongo is "taking care of the employee's medical bills". Wouldn't worker's comp cover the medical bills. Or is attempted murder excluded?
I wish a full and speedy recovery for those men. Hopefully the hoodlums will be arrested and face justice.

Shotgun blast, one person hit with 4 pellets, the other with six, and one was in belly which required surgery, both are doing well now. Yes, workman's comp is paying them...

Personally i find this whole situation disgusting. Shot-guns at a hotel resort--good god. Making a living in VI is hard enough without the likelyhood of being killed for one nights gross receipts.

I learned yesterday they did not ask for money. They hid behind the dive shop and when the manager walked to his car, they jumped out and stated something like "we got you now" and fired. It sounds more personal than a robbery.

Rummors. The facts: open air gun fire at an occupied hotel resort, men shot, no arrests.
