Does a surge protector help ameliorate battery frying? I realized (except for my dinosaur fridge) everything but that clock and a camera battery charger are plugged into surge protectors.

Funny, it doesn't seem to affect my clock, but then it only has one hand and no numbers on it. What no numbers? That's right... Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.
My wife says it helps me remember what day it is. I leave the rest to the heavens. When someone asks me "What time is it?", my response is either "daytime" or "night-time". Simple & easy.... YMMV

Some of us have to work. Wish my clock only needed to tell me what day of the week it is. Extreme jealousy!!
