Hey everyone!
SO I am leaving in a week and was wondering if anyone is out there looking for a roommate or is leaving anytime soon?? The girl I was initially supposed to live with has somefmaily problems and will be postpoing her trip for months. So I thought i would ask you guys if you know anyone, anywhere or anything for that matter that could help me. I am a bit stressed out as I leave next Monday. Thanks!

Hi Summer - I'm coming down the first week in August to start at UVI/St. Thomas campus. I'm not the typical crazy college student ready to throw huge parties or anything - and will most likely be looking for a roommate [since I heard that there are some high crime rates in the area]. I'm 24 and leaving a pretty good prosperous career to come to the islands for some relaxation and sunny beaches [tired of D.C. and its money hungry CEO's] and in the interim am going to go to school to be a nurse [tired of my IT profession too]. So if you don't find anyone - which I hope you do - save my email address and mail me in July sometime.

Good luck!

Vanessa

Maho Bay has rates for $56 for single and you can camp at Cinnamon Bay for cheaper. Look in the Daily News Classifieds on St. Thomas to find a place/roommate or go to or call Connections to see if they have any places listed. Good luck. I'll be coming in June and staying a teacher's place for the summer while he visits the States.
