This article, and the one it quotes, both give an interesting perspective on energy issues, from Australia.

We're far from alone in the bumpy transition from an old utility business model into a new, cleaner, greener paradigm.

WAPA is actively engaging in aggressive tactics to maintain the façade that their decades-old business model – which is based on a high-volume, low margin business that relies on continued growth to the bondholders and rating agencies. Another example of this is last night's PSC decision to approve a $4 MM base rate increase to WAPA. The price of oil has not increased, but WAPA customer base continues to erode with solar conversions. Bondholders and ratings agencies don't like this.

Coordinated acts of civil disobedience by the population and class action lawsuits are the only answer for the VI. Sadly, the government knows that only a few would ever stand up to the government or WAPA and take the necessary steps to slay the dragon. We need a professional agitator.

This an example of why the democracy does not exist in STT.

I am moving forward to add another 30 panels so I can say to WAPA SCREW YOU!
