It's been a while since we visited the board... good to see familiar names...

"My husband learned of a job opening as US Federal Prosecutor on STX but he fears over safety issues with local distrust or backlash with it being a small community and us being an African-American family. He wants our kids to be safe, and the idea of prosecuting locals, while living there has him nervous. (Not to be an alarmist but we read of a police officer being gunned down in his driveway).....Can anyone share anything on STX and the communities relelationship to law enforcement residents?
My husband has always worked with urban males in mentoring, and we aren't scarey people, he's simply unaware of the legal climate....

Also, anyone practicing on either STT or STX that may be interested in having a look see at Jeff's resume (12 year Calif. attorney civil/criminal) and offering possible options, please feel free to email!!

("STX Legal" has a good ring for a tv show, someone should pitch the idea)

O.K.,

I've figured out that Mondays aren't the best day for posting a message here, everybody's at work right.......!!!

So, I'm trying a thursday and reposting. I hope to get in on the weekend chatter........
I would like to get some responses on STX and local relationships with mainland law officials residing there....Or law officials in general. Please give me all perspectives...

Hello,

There was a frequent poster that I believe is an attorney on St. Croix, went by the username VirginBound.

Perhaps do a search of the board using the author option...
