St John options for getting rid of unwanted furniture after move?

My sister is moving into her new place, which she purchased fully furnished.
While a majority of what is in the place will stay, at least for a while, there are a number of perfectly nice pieces that she just hates, style-wise, and is going to want out of the kids cottage before they arrive after school lets out for Winter Break.
Anyone had any luck with like a Craig's List for practically giving away furniture? Her new place is in Concordia area of St John.

Craig's List, post ad at Connections message board, donate to a worthy cause for a tax deduction, place an ad in STJ Tradewinds newspaper, post on Facebook.

A small poster in a few of the Coral Bay businesses would get plenty of interest.

I am pretty sure you won't have any trouble giving it away. Put an ad on Craigslist. If it doesn't move quickly, it is pretty common for people on St. John to place items outside of the Dumpsters (just make sure it's not raining) and it wouldn't be long before someone picked it up.

Local Facebook groups will move it quickest -- there are a couple for Coral Bay and a few for St John as a whole. Also consider donating to the ACC (Animal Care Center) for their annual fundraiser sale each year in October.
