Thanks for the thought Dixie. I just drove 45 miles to work in CT. It was raining and 24 F. I stopped twice to clean the ice off my wipers. Most people stayed home. Very few cars on the road. I would say that 99% of the nervous nellies stayed home. Most of those on the road knew how to drive and had the proper vehicles and tires.

OMG we're in chicago and it is nuts. We have about 10ft snow drifts and all of last night the wind was so strong and there was thundersnow! It was like a hurricane but with snow. It was crazy. It's still snowing now, and the city and surrounding is shut down. I'm working from home today.

We're shut down in Oklahoma too! They said last night that two of our three biggest snow storms since 1894 occurred during the past two years - Christmas Eve 2009 and February 1, 2011!! And now I have potential employers trying to recruit me from WISCONSIN!! I'm cold enough right here in Oklahoma! I want to move to St. Croix - Wisconsin is the totally wrong direction!!! 😀
