Does anyone know what happened with and what (if anything) is going to happen with that resort on the East End just up the road from the Wyndham? I think it was the Grand Palace in its last incarnation, but I could be wrong. Pineapple Village villas are on those grounds.

The resort has been empty/abandoned for at least a few years now. Does anyone have the inside scoop on what is going to happen with that property?

Still closed, haven't heard anything new about any plans. Anyone else?

Yes, currently there is a team from Intercontinental Hotels in the process of buying, and hopefully will be open in time for season.

Last I heard they were hoping to open a few rooms by June and then be fully open for next season. Hooray!
