The Tourism department should conduct a "mystery rider" campaign to capture video of taxi drivers and recommend attitude adjustments for rude drivers or congratulations for good service.

Quote A&A "I even patted him on the shoulder and said its all good don't stress man, we will wait, as he was trying to deal with multiple people."

When first arriving on STX I worked at Hovensa. I was told by a Crucian co-worker not to touch people unless you know them well. Patting a co-worker on the back or touch to the arm would be offensive. "Hugging people you know and like is one thing, Bumping fists another. A touch or pat on the back, not cool" " Too forward!!! Unless you're friends. "

Same man told me this. "You'll think they are screaming at each other, but that's an endearment."

Another one. "Mind your own business! They never rat one another out". Which is actually a big part of the crime problem. "I ain see nuddin officer.....nuddin at all."

I personally know many cab drivers. Most are honest, some are hilarious, almost all extremely friendly. Their "tip" depends on it. Many of them senior citizens. Maybe go to the airport when they are all sitting around cutting up, strike up a conversation with them, then interject your experience. They can't speak for him, but the answer(s) you get might be entertaining.
Not that his behavior was justified, but he could have some real bad stuff going on in his life right now. You never know......

As for $65 for 2 people and a van load of stuff. A ride is a ride at 1am.;)

Hahaha Mike don't remind me!! Yesterday I ran errands and true to form STX sticks it to me again. I have a new rule - home - dive shop and restaurants. It WAS getting better. 🙁

I am dying laughing at some of these posts. So absurd but great entertainment.
