Well, we are finally packed and almost on our way 🙂 In about 1 hour we set out in our Penske truck from good old KC, and head to Florida so we can ship our stuff and arrive on STJ on Friday. Thanks to all of you on this board for being such a great help and so supportive in our move (it's been a bit of a difficult goodbye - I think it hit me yesterday that this is not going to be a long vacation) Hopefully I'll be able to check in from the hotels as we drive. Our route takes us to Nashville tonight, Jacksonville FL tomorrow and West Palm Tuesday so we can load on Wednesday with a built in "spare" day Thursday before the flight Friday. Looking forward to meeting you all soon at the next get together 🙂

Now I get the connection to the get-together idea! We look forward to meeting you and hearing about your new adventure. I've read this message board for months and decided that moving down permanently won't work for us but we'll love to hear your story! Karen and Chuck

Hi everyone,
We are here in West Palm Beach ready to load our container tomorrow 🙂 So far things have gone really smoothly (the drive went great and made good time - 10 hours to Nashville, 11 hours to Jacksonville and 4 1/2 hours to WPB) Due to some policy changes at Tropical Shipping we are no longer allowed to load the container ourselves - we have to have Tropical load it for us (which is probably a good thing due to hubby's recent surgery) so hopefully it will be a positive experience. Will let all of you know as soon as we can get on line again. Talk to you all soon 🙂
