Does anyone use a pre-paid Straight Talk phone on St. Croix? If so, how is the service/reception? What is the best pre-paid cellular service on St. Croix?

Many of us use them. Got mine from Radio Shack. Reception is as bad with one of them as it is with most any other. Cell service is very spotty and worse inside concrete buildings. Smoke signals seem the best method of communication. Just ask the firebugs that have been torching the south shore of STX...

Two months ago at RadioShack on STX, from TracFone, we bought a Samsung S125G (very basic) for $11.99, plus 400 minutes of air time for $39.99. I don’t know who provides the air service. We're happy with it, and coverage is good on STX. They also offer more expensive phones with more features. For our limited usage, this is perfect. More info at http://www.tracfone.com/ or just go to RadioShack.
