Well, I have 5 business days to decide if I want to stay with this wireless Internet connection from Choice Communications. I'm getting about 190kbps down and 50 kbps up. Are there any other options out there?
Evidently "DSL" here doesn't mean the same thing that DSL stateside means - DSL in Texas is a hardwire
digital services link that provides both phone and (fairly) high speed Internet. Here it seems to mean some
other type of wireless service. I'm really looking for broadband speed, say something in the 500kbps range or
better - is that just not happenin'?

I signed up for cable TV with Choice too but they won't be out till Sep 9 to install - is there a cable provider on St
Thomas that offers cable modem Internet???

JFQueen,

Try searching this board for "Internet" or "Broadband". There's lots of information, including a comparison/explanation of each ISP in the VI.

Best,

LR
