I'm looking for a mechanic(s) on Stt that knows about newer model cars with all these new computer things in the motor, etc. My regular mechanics in Contant won't do the work and another in Tutu, "might" have screwed up the job the first time, but I can't prove it, so trust lost there.

They need to honest, trustworthy, and hopefully not break the bank too much. Asking too much?

I need the work done soon. I can't wait much longer. I have the parts.

Any recommendations? PM me, please.

(I really miss my older cars with no computer parts, built with all metal body, especially those nice heavy duty, real metal bumpers.)

I always used Dr. A who was in tutu by the Tire Kingdom (who is terrible never buy their tires). Dr. A is awesome - Name is Aaron. He was always super affordable and worked on my CRV and inspected my jeep before I bought it. He even walked with me over to CAM to look at a couple jeeps - luckily he pointed out all their issues so I ended up not being them.

I heard he moved his shop though after I moved to STX - so you'll have to find out to where.

Try Lennards Auto.
He's been my mechanic for decades.
They have diagnostic equipment.
Go past K-Mart.
At intersection with light by car wash, go straight across, up hill, first left turn down.
You'll see the place with 3 bays.
775-9877
They've been having issues with their innovative phone line.
I have a cell number if you can't get through.
Just PM me

For that you don't want a mechanic, you need an automotive technician.:P

I am going to have to name the shop that screwed up the job, won't correct his mistakes, and is keeping my money. It was Aron from Dr. A's.

I've always been happy with Leonard's service.
I've been a customer for well over 30 years from when he had a tiny " shade tree"
mechanic shop on the East End behind the ball park. When you find people that do right by you, stick with them. I've never been disappointed.

I only go to who is recommended to me and Dr. A's was.

I dropped by Leonard's. He is very busy. Took a quick look at my car. Mentioned what could be wrong, but has to go up on the lift.
He gave me his card and told me to call him next Tuesday to see when he can fit me in.

He's always busy so I make appointment for a week in advance.
They always fit me in.
I don't have diagnostic issues since I drive a 1997 Toyota pick-up.
Love it and it's in beautiful condition.
Hope you can get your issue resolved.
What is it, anyway?

Aron screwed it up? Thats a bummer he was always awesome for us and always fit us in especially since i did tours and needed my car for a full days work. Sorry to hear that.

Leonards blew me off completely too many times so I ditched them. We used a guy named Heathcliff when we first moved there but he was always SO busy and you had to do 3-5 days in advance for any problem.
