What's the best rate you've seen (plane or ferry) between STT and Puerto Rico? I see that the ferry RT costs 125 usually and flights around $150-200. Bummer if they dont get better deals than that, I fly from Orlando to Puerto Rico for less than that with airline sales. Any tips on cheaper transport?....other than swimming, Trade. 🙂

Talk about a miserable ferry ride! Plus that ferry runs on a very, very limited schedule, and it doesn't go to San Juan. It goes to Fajardo, so if you need to connect to SJ, that's an expensive taxi or a long ride on the publico. AA occasionally runs $127 or $137, plus fees, but it's one of those things where you book last minute and have to fly on certain days and can only stay so long. You can sign up for the regular Tuesday AA flight bulletin at aa.com. The Seaplane has been running a lower online price. I think it's $185, not sure. Unless you are connecting at the San Juan airport, the seaplane is the way to go. From downtown Old San Juan to downtown Charlotte Amalie. You don't have to check in 2 hours early. That's my favorite part.

Its amazing that a short flight like this could cost so much! I guess its just the law of supply and demand...but BUMMER!! I put a request in to Jetblue to start service in STT. If more airline carriers fly through STT, the prices will decrease. I also read, I think on Seabornes website, that you can get a discount if you buy atleast 5 tickets at a time, not sure how much discount though.

I don't think you actually save money with Seaborne's corporate tickets. You do get one of, or maybe the lowest rate. You have to buy 5 RT tickets in advance. The real advantage is you can carry more weight in luggage, and if you want to change your reservation, there's no charge.
