1) Are there WiFi sites on STT?
2) How about Internet cafes?
3) What's the situation with mobile phones? I live in E. Europe and have 2 triband cel phones. Can I just slip in a prepaid SIM card?
I'll be doing a pre-move visit in January-February for 2-3 weeks. Is Tracfone available?

WiFi cafe in STT ....... forget the name of it, but its in Charlotte Amalie shopping district. Theres an alley off the main drag just before the Tradewinds Shop (they are located beside Tommy Hilfiger). They have good coffee, pastries & other yummies.............oh and WiFi. Also they provide desk tops to browse.
Gosh wish I could remember the name of the place, I used to go there once a week for like a couple months when I flew back & forth managing Tradewinds.

It's called Beans, bytes and websites, it's in Royal Dane Mall. There are also a few places in Havensight that have internet and WiFi (I believe Paradise Gate charges $1 for unlimited access).

Tracfone is sold by OfficeMax, so you'd think it works on island...

Thanks, IT! Just found STT Yellow Pages. Cool! About half-dozen cybercafes. Maybe I can find something on the mobile phones, too.

I guess I'll just buy a Tracfone. I can use it for the 2-3 weeks and later, when I relocate. Thanks! Off to OfficeMax!

Hi Edward,

A couple of other WiFi places on STT are Bad Ass Coffee in Yacht Haven Grande and Kokopelli Cafe over by Cost U Less (good food, too!).

also in the Sprint store in lockhart garderns there is a Sprint store you could buy for 40 dollars a Boost phone with some minutes and you can add some also. Tracfone does not work very good my friend try it. In regards to Wifi besides those place previously mention also in American Yacht harbor in red hook there is also a place as well as the Marriott in Frenchmans reef and the Ritz carlton lobbies.

Thanks, Everyone! Sounds as if communication back to Europe and other places in the world won't be a problem.
