What/who are y'all using, and what are the pros & cons of the company you chose.

Thanks!

BBVI.
Pro: They work
Con: None (compared to all other ISPs here)

Maybe I misunderstood the question, because the answer is obvious to regular readers here.

BBVI primary

use AT&T as a backup, if you get good signal you'll have a 1.5mb connection for 30$ a month as a backup... I currently use my hotspot as a backup at home

Thanks LiquidF, I forgot about ATT.

ATT has their "Beam" device, anyone here use it?

There seem to be new alternatives, and I just want to look into all before I decide. That's it, nothing more, nothing less.

Alana, if you rely on the internet for your business, i suggest you consider having redundant service....service from a second ISP.

We have 2 ISP's, when one goes down or slows down, we switch to the backup.

Sounds costly. paying for 2 services?

When I asked myself "what is our time worth?", I realized having 2 IPS's made more business sense.

We use Hughesnet as a backup. It is slow. But we don't are. it runs in the background. streaming music and uploading....taking the load off our activities on our primary ISP.

Alana, Problem at Crown has been resolved.
I am getting 5Mbps upload speeds from your house using our internal speed tests, I would try again / try a different speed test site, or just see how it does uploading your photos.
Ikory, sorry, but we are busy installing a bunch of new customers....most of them switching from other providers...been incredibly busy for August....and if you run a mission critical business, Sloop is right, you need 2 providers.

Hope this helps.

My internet has really been pretty good with BBVI (normally good speeds except on occasion) and I really like their overall customer service which is so much better than anything I ever experienced with Choice. They are usually very responsive. The comments above were due to a glitch that affected my service and which both Beeski and Sloop Jones recommended having a redundant/back-up service since I use my internet for business purposes out of my home. Maybe that is something for poodle to consider as well.

Just go BBVI. The only thing the other providers provide is a nightmare.

BBVI it isn't always this fast, but it is usually near 20 Mbps and sometimes as fast as 48 Mbps. When the speed that you are paying for is 5 Mbps you really can't complain.
