Does anyone know if there is a "U-Store-It " type place where you can store in a car in a enclosed area when off island? Here in the states, there are self storage units that you can keep whatever in. Any idea of cost?

Sun self storage in LaReine across from the MacDonalds on Centerline Road. Like anything else on the island, price is what they can get for it!!!!

Thank You. Have you ever used them? Is it pretty secure?

Although not for car storage but I have used Sun Self Storage for three years now and have been very happy. Safe, secure and have never seen bugs or rodents in my storage unit of any kind. The office personnel are very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to store my vehicle there if needed.

Checked out their price. $255 per month. OUCH! That sure seems high. Does anyone know of another type storage that might be cheaper. Possibily someones garage that would like to make some extra money.

Private garages really don't exist here in large numbers, and most of them would not be anywhere near as secure as Sun Self Storage. While it may seem expensive, I think they offer a good service, and your car will be safe.

wow that does seem high!

I priced places in CA 175, and they start the car monthly, fill the tires, etc. IN nevade 74 but they wont start the car, in VA, 89 and they start the car. 255 sure does seem high! Wow...

good luck finding a more affordable option.

cheers

My 2 cents: Ask a friend if you can store your car in their driveway, yard or behind their house for free or for cheap. Your friend will know how secure the area is. Put a Club on the wheel for good luck.
