STX in 6 days - HELP

Hi - I posted in the past about needing housing in STX long-term. I have a line on an apartment, but the LLs are (understandably) not willing to rent for anything less than a three month period. I have not seen the place and am uncomfortable committing to a 3 month lease for a place I have not seen.

I arrive in STX on Wednesday, January 3, at about 8:30 p.m. I am DESPERATE to find some temporary lodging for a week, maybe a month, so that I can do some searching while there for a more permanent situation. I'd prefer not to stay in a hotel. If anyone has any ideas or can offer me any help, please, please let me know ... I promise I'm really nice!

You might want to try one of the real estate agencies on the Island. I know that Deb Witcraft from ReMax is the rental agent for some condo's on STX that rent short and long term. It might be pricey but I know she has some for that period of time, also other agencies may do the same thing. It is worth a try.
Good luck.

Hi there -

You might contact danieljude through this board - I know he has some space for PMV but it may be booked - post for him, he will find you! He has some nice guest quarters and I know there's something under construction, so it may not be open yet - but I know he welcomes PMV-ers and short-termers. Give it a whirl!

Hello there. I do believe you might have at some point called me in December, however there were some significant problems with retrieving messages as my parents are here, and we switched SIM cards so I didn't have to be worried that the Octogenarians would get lost and scared.

in the center of Christiansted, there is a place that rents by the night. I do not think it is is beautiful or with a seaview, but is convenient. On the West End, Villa Morales has rooms to rent. Again, they are single rooms with not much in the way of ammenities, but the owners are wonderful.

From around Feb. 10th until sometime in May, perhaps longer, I do daily, weekly and monthly rentals for people moving here. After March, the rent drops, but ist always includes all utilities, DSL/wireless for a PC platform, private baths and private patios.

Please email me at [email protected], and if there is anything I can do from this end, I most certainly will.

Best wishes and thank you (and thanks, Becky R.!). I believe it may be a patch job, but you will have somewhere to stay. Okay?

Dan
