Joe: What sort of condo are you looking for? What price range? Near the beach? On the beach? View? I am a realtor and there are numerous condos for sale. I have a one bedroom for sale for $159,000 in Frenchman's Bay.

It may be $159,000 a month but you are looking at around $600 to $800 a month for insurance and condo fees but if you are a east coaster MattNJ it may all even out on taxes....taxes are usually alot lower here then there....

My condo is worth more than that but the condo fees with insurance are just over $400.00. Anyone buying a condo needs to look into the cost of water & especially the history of assessments. Low fees mean nothing if assessments are frequent.

The dues are $351/month on the one bedroom condo priced at $159,000. The dues include insurance and water is billed at $.05/gallon. This is much more reasonable than other condos on St. Thomas. If you want the listing emailed to you pm me or email me at [email protected]. Donna Wheeler

That's not bad at all, Glynnswife. I think that's a pretty standard water rate too. I'm lucky in that mine is 2 cents a gallon but there's a sliding scale higher after you use X amount of water which keeps me conservative in my water use but 5 cents is OK in a condo. At $159K, that's worth looking into.
