Hi,
I'd appreciate any recommendations for good places to look for patio/outdoor furniture on STX. We have a gallery (which we would call a porch in the midwest) that I want to get some outdoor furniture for--maybe a small table w/chairs and a lounge chair or two. Anyone have a favorite place to shop for these types of items? thanks much! Kim

Gallows Bay is having a big tent sale of outdoor furniture this weekend, maybe starting Friday?. It's at the appliance store.

or you can spend the money and have something made out of mahogany up at the "leap" in the rainforest, it's termite proof as is guyanese hardwood, heavy stuff but beautiful

If you are interested in teak patio furniture you might check Sweet Lime Furniture. Teak is a good option for the island as it holds up in this environment and will last a long time. You can let it go natural or stain/protect the wood. If you want cushions for the chairs there are some good upholsters on island who can make them for you.

KLJ555,
I haven't been there in a few months, but when they get most of the Christmas Decor stuff sold off the floor, they sell patio furniture (Martha Stewart) Grills and accessories. Oh my family from North East call them Decks of Balconies. LOL

Linda J and dntw8up. I have no ownership, financial interest or stock in KMART/Martha Stewart products!

Check out Patalidis Design in Gallows Bay near No Bones Cafe. If they don't have exactly what you want they have numerous sources to order from.

Thanks for the tips everyone--I am looking forward to checking all the places out. I did go to Gallows Bay on Friday and they were pretty swamped! We did find a table and chair set that we liked, but it was already sold (oh well, better luck next time).

TRW--sorry, but I'm not familiar with the "leap." How would I find that location? I'd be interested in learning more about that option. Eventually we are planning on building a house and it would be nice to have that type of outdoor furniture.

There is a furniture store directly across the street from Cost-U-Less, the name eludes me, that sells outdoor furniture. I've never seen anything like teak but they do have some nice looking things for low prices with free delivery. I found some chairs and a table for half the price of something similar to what we had bought from Gallows Bay last year and I paid for delivery.
