I haven't been to an STX Krew de Croix Rib Cook Off before...anyone else been? What should one look forward to?

mmmm, tanks for the note. I could smell it last year while I was taking dive lessons. Never got a piece but everyone walking up to the dive shop was just chowing.

We haven't been before, but we are going this year. After hearing everyone talk about how delicious the ribs were, and telling us how much we missed out, we decided we weren't going to miss it this time.

Wish I had the time & a ticket to attend(I took 2nd place in the 2000 rib cook off @ Honeymoon).
The guy who won spent 6 years at a culinary Institute in France, & was a local chief(not a boat chef, where the term is used more loosely).
Ah,love my BBQ!
Did the meat fall off the bone,or did the bone slide out of the meat?
Then there is the sauce....
my fav,heat & sweet!

Saturday at Coconuts.....noonish.....should be great! Last year some ran out of ribs! Ribs...$1 each, Sides $1 each.....lots of tasty tings!
