Maybe a thunderstorm is the perfect time. It helped Andy Dufrense escape from Shawshank prison 😉 joke by the way.....

And then end up driving down Northshore Rd on the way to Sandy point. But I digress.

What a brilliant plan- Get some flammables together to simulate a lightning strike with a remote control detonator having milliseconds response time, then wait for the nastiest thunderstorm, sneak down to the restaurant in the rain and plant the device, then get far enough away to not get caught or blown up, wait for just the right lightning bolt to flash, then hit the button on the remote control. Just like Andy did it but he only used a rock.

.....or have the rain leak in through a bad weather head and short out the circuit breaker panel, overheat the wires in a wooden structure and start a fire in a dry area that is raging before the rain has a chance to put it out.

You're all wrong. It was a drone attack.

Or...come to think of it...haven't seen a DEA chopper since. Hmmm...

I'd be very surprised if the restaurant is rebuilt. And if it is, there will be no Shupe operating it. His lease ended when the place burnt down.

That's quite a loaded barrel of assumptions. Further, the lease did not necessarily end, it depends on what's laid out in the lease's damage clause

I had a restaurant that burned down and after it was rebuilt by the landlord my business interruption insurance clause allowed me to get a nice check.
